German term for any motorhome (recreational vehicle with living quarters).

The word is a general category in everyday use, but the classification that has legal effect is the one recorded at registration, and the two do not always coincide.
Which of the two applies to a given vehicle — for tolls, speed limits and licence class — is decided by the registration document, not by how the vehicle is described or sold.
